Welcome to Mind Mosaic Psychology
I am Manali Roy, Ph.D., South Asian, female (she/her) clinical psychologist licensed to practice in New York State. I was born and raised in India and moved to the United States as a young adult for advanced education. Having lived in two countries and cultures for significant parts of my life has helped shape my unique multicultural perspective and its associated challenges and rewards. My clinical experience spans community mental health, hospitals settings, and college mental health in both India and the U.S., where I have worked extensively with underserved and diverse communities as well as high-achieving individuals in demanding academic and job settings. Multicultural concerns, minority and immigrant experiences, intergenerational trauma, social and racial inequities, acculturative stress, concerns of gender identities and sexual orientation, as well as the intersectionality of identities are central to my work. I am also particularly committed to supporting South Asian LGBTQ+ individuals. I aim to offer culturally sensitive therapy that fosters cross‑cultural understanding and promotes mental health equity.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, acculturative stress, life transitions, job-related stress, and relational/family conflict. My goal is to create a safe and collaborative space where your experiences are heard and understood. Together, we explore your concerns in depth, identify challenges and unhelpful patterns in how you relate to yourself, others, and the world, recognize your strengths, and work toward enhancing psychological well‑being through practical coping skills and strategies.
I provide therapy in English, Bengali, and Hindi.

Clinical Experience
I completed doctoral training and a predoctoral internship within community mental health and hospital settings (rotations across outpatient, psychiatric emergency services, inpatient, and partial hospitalization settings. My post graduation experiences include working as the primary psychologist on consultation‑liaison psychiatry services and psychiatric emergency services, providing inpatient psychiatric care, and working in college mental health. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of treatment providers and support staff as well as providing community outreach programs have been an integral part of my clinical work.
